Week of Concerts

Collages13Sunday the 15th we headed over to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery to watch Lyle Lovett and his acoustic band.  It was a great concert, although both Mike and I enjoyed Lyle and his large band more.

About half way into the show Thomas and another little boy, Jonas, started playing together and Mike and I started talking to his parents.  We found out we have some things in common and exchanged contact info (read-nervously just like dating asked for their number).

As the boys ran and played together and drove their trucks around, we adults and a sleeping Elin danced and chatted.  At the end of the night it was obvious we were all tired and Thomas was headed for a massive meltdown.  So we headed home.  It was a great way to start off our summer concerts.

Thursday night we headed to Ziggy Marley at Zoo Tunes.  Max and Amy joined us after work.  After reining in Thomas’ chaotic energy we were able to dance and enjoy the music.  It again was a gorgeous night, it was a great atmosphere and we had great company.  Funny enough we even ran into the couple from the previous concert-and officially set up a date!

Fun with Brandi Carslile at Zoo Tunes

Enjoy the videos of our flirty little dancing boy at Brandi Carlisle’s Zoo Tunes Concert.  He once again was delighting the crowd with his flashy grin and sweet dance moves.  He even found a few girlfriends to dance with.

We didn’t have the best seats and it was hard to see Brandi but honestly we all had more fun just listening and hanging out.  We were also glad my parents were able to get last minute tickets and join us.

Taj Mahal Concert

Zoo Tunes is a concert series put on by the Woodland Park Zoo when we got our membership we saw a few concerts that we wanted to check out.  The first was Taj Mahal opening for Joan Osborne.

Thomas and I got to the zoo early and secured our spot.   From the minute we got there, Thomas was a dancing machine.  His dancing is equally awkward and amazing!  Mike and I can not get enough of him dancing and love trying to figure out where he picked up his latest move!

After Taj Mahal opened we decided to sneak off to dinner.  Can’t wait for Brandi Carlisle in August!
