Minimoon

Sunday to Tuesday Mike and I took off for Vail for our "minimoon." It is off season in the mountains, so we had great eats at great prices :-) We also got some much needed rest!

Got another wedding in 2 weeks and then 4 weeks after that it is time for the real honeymoon :-)
Picture is Stella in the window wondering where the heck we are going again! Attempt of getting a picture on our minimoon

I am now Mrs. L and Mike now has a Wifey!

Ahh wedding day bliss :-) or a few days after I guess.

I don't think you can ever quantify the way you feel about one another in words. However, I think that the pictures help do it justice and for those of you who we were lucky enough to have join us, you got to see a real piece of what makes "us" us.
I don't know how I was so lucky to have found someone who can complete me so well. At our rehearsal dinner, when I was trying to thank our parents and couldn't get thought my sobs, Mike picked up the microphone and finished my sentence....LUCKY is how I feel to have him in my life, and PRIVILEGED is how I now feel to be his Wife :-) (that rhymed too-geesh I am talented). Mike feels lucky to be able to call me
Mrs. L now too..something he and his friends have started and it will probably stick :-(From both of our hearts we want to thank our parents, for without them this day wouldn't have been possible-and we would never have been here! To all of our friends and family, that were here with us or here with us in spirit..THANK YOU :-)
The day was more perfect that I could have ever imagined. With a forecast of rain, I kept telling everyone it would be o.k. We had a few little minor blips, a misplaced tie (so the best man had a different but similar one) two buses showed up (our good friends told one to stay and one that they needed to get lost) and then a bit of rain for good luck when we were just about heading into the Oxford for the cocktail hour. All in all the only real thing we forgot was SUNSCREEN!!
There were so many special moments that Mike and I have continued to talk with one another about. It is true that you never want to forget this feeling. You never want to forget all the love you feel with your friends and family surrounding you. We both have so many wonderful examples of longevity in marriage with our grandparents and parents, that we understand the importance of remembering the vows we said on Saturday. Whoa...this is probably one of my most intimate posts.

A great quote from our friends in our guestbook says, "Life is not spent on the top of a mountain, enjoy the climb!" We are excited to start this new chapter of "OUR JOURNEY." Thank you all for being a part of it :-).

More pictures to follow and the professional pictures should be here in about 2 weeks.

Girls/Boys celebration and Rehearsal Dinner

On Friday the boys started their day off with Golfing. Us girls went and pampered ourselves at the spa!
Friday night we had the rehearsal at the Botanic Gardens and then we went to the Wynkoop to have dinner.

Allison and I heading back to the Oxford as Ms. McConachie!

**I'm trying to get my hands on some more "girls" pics!

BBQ

Thursday Mike and I decided that we should have all of our friends and family over for a little BBQ and "pre" wedding celebration. Here are some pics from the night!

This is one of the ONLY pics that Mike and I got together in the madness of the family dinner and the BBQ :-) The one at the bottom is the picture of the painting that Mike bought me and the fishing jacket (I am wearing it) that we gave one another for wedding presents.

Family Arrives

So Wednesday the wedding madness began with our families coming into town. We had a "plan" and it came and went as fast as Denver weather. The guys ended up day drinking and enjoying the sights of the 16th street mall and the mom's and sisters helped me with the last minute wedding stuff.

Then we had a great dinner together at home and enjoyed a few more adult beverages...oh yeah and we had two "crashers" two of Mike's buddies flew in a day early to join in the festivities :-)

Stella and Zoey

The weekend before the wedding we did nothing but get ourselves as ready as we could for the company we would have.

Stella got to enjoy her newest BFF who is a great dane named Zoey who lives just down the block.

Happy Mother's Day

To everyone...especially our mommas!

May Madness

So May is really flying by and we are getting closer and closer to wedding day or wedding extravaganza 09 as we are calling it here. We are both looking forward to it, but we are also at the point that we are looking forward to some "normalcy" after as well!
All my free time is being put into getting things in order. Mike is using his free time to help with what he can, do things around the house, and get some fishing in.We also got to enjoy a very fun day/night with our friends yesterday. Yesterday was my 2nd bachelorette party (Lucky Lady I know!), and Mike got a dude day. My day started off with a spa pedicure with my friends, then we went walking around the Highlands neighborhood to shop, followed by a dipping party, dinner at Rioja, a comedy show at the Impulse theater, and then out to a couple bars.

The boys went golfing, then had a BBQ at a buddies house, then they were off to a few bars for shuffle board and fun. At the end of the night we met up and headed home. We both had a great day with our good friends, and we can't wait for our wedding "party!" Thank you to all of our friends for helping us both have such great days!

Housewarming

We had a housewarming party this weekend. I was so busy chatting and hosting that I didn't get any pictures! But we had a good group of friends over to help us break in the house.

Mike also got a morning fly fishing in with Garrett, and I got to watch there really cute Vizsla puppy Trigger. Trigger and Stella kept themselves occupied and were so sleepy for the party...which was great!

Mike had the camera so I have no cute puppy pictures to post either. Next time! Wait, Candy saved the day and she got this picture of sleepy puppies...this is how Stella sleeps when she is really tired, she does some other weird sleep positions too...who knows!?

Also, we are now under the 30 day mark for the wedding...we are now 26 days away...whew...where has the time gone?! I can't wait, but yet I am afraid I am not ready at the same time, ready or not it is coming! Stella, Tucker, and Itzy really want their "parents" to be legit so they are anxiously awaiting May 23rd!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS....I am updated!

Minnesota Round 2

Last weekend I flew back to Minnesota for my bachelorette party and another bridal shower.
Friday I got to spend some quality time with Tiff and her two little ones. They picked me up at the airport and then we headed to the Mall of America to Rain Forest Cafe and the Aquarium. It was so much fun, and Ben started talking to me much more quickly than normal too....far away pseudo auntie Stacey is not too hard to remember! You can see pics on Tiffs blog...she needs to send them to me still!
I then went to the airport and met up with Renee who was coming in from Vegas. She and I headed to the Radisson downtown to check into our room and decided it was almost time to call it a night. We went to the hotels bar and grill had a great dinner a few drinks and then called it a night. On Saturday we were so lazy, we ordered room service, laid around in bed and then finally decided to get up...it was so relaxing and much needed. Then we went shopping around and had lunch before going back and getting ready for the night.
The bachelorette party started at Chino Latino, then we headed to Stella's, Drink, and finished it off at the Imperial Room. It was a great night with some really close friends, my mom, and Mike's mom and sisters.
Sunday we woke up sluggishly and headed to my bridal shower hosted by Mike's sisters. We had a great brunch with amazing food and desserts, fun games, and I was lucky to receive a bunch of wonderful gifts.
Then it was back to Denver again :-)

Mike spent the weekend having a "dude" weekend. He spent time hanging out with his buddies, hitting up a couple bars, and chilling with Stella. Again, he was so excited for me to come home!
