City Trucks at the Library

The library hosted a few city work truck for the kiddos to see up close.  It was similar to the safety awareness days that we have done in Seattle before.  At this event however the kids were not allowed to sit and drive the vehicles but they could climb all over them if they chose.  They said this was for safety reasons, which honestly didn’t make a whole lot of sense.   They also read a few stories outside about work trucks and the kids were a little too preoccupied to pay attention.  After they explored all the trucks we headed home.  The kiddos then happily played “work trucks” in their sandbox which was fun to watch them play out what they had just seen/learned.
