Help Feed Animals
Everyday animal (and people too) need food and don't have it. I just read in my people magazine about this site and wanted to pass it along. If you get the answer right you can donate food to animals. Please check it out. http://www.freekibble.com/
Start of the Ski Season
Saturday morning Mike, Rick, Nikki and I all dragged ourselves out of bed to head up to Vail for our first ski day. We met Jacy and Dr. Rock up there and spend the next few hours skiing the just opened back bowls at Vail. It wasn't an epic day, but it was a great day to start the season!
Mike also got to take up his snowmobile this morning and ride it for about an hour before he came back home. Said it was a lot of fun and thinks this year will be a great fun.
Also, please send your thoughts and prayers to our good friend Allison who is battling a serious infection. Her spirits are very high and she is so far making a much quicker recovery than the doctors expected.
I can't believe that Christmas is coming so soon. Before we know it we will be driving back to Minnesota to meet up with our families. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

2 years ago today....
Mike and I met while skiing in Breckenridge!
Not a whole lot to report on this anniversary. Mike spend the day in meetings in Indianapolis, and I spent the day working and taking care of Stella.
Nonetheless, it is our anniversary and I am very thankful that I met him 2 years ago (I will say he would say the same too!)

Cake Tasting....Yummy
On Wednesday Mike and I got 4 mini cakes to sample to help us decide on flavors.
We had a white cake with lemon filling, a marble cake with chocolate filing, a yellow cake with raspberry filling, and a chocolate cake with raspberry filling. They were all yummy, but Mike and I immediately picked our favorite. You will have to wait until May to find out the different layers we decided on.
Thanksgiving Weekend
Wednesday-Concert at Tooey's
Thursday-Breakfast and AM football game Turducken vs. Toufurkey Mike and I's team Turducken won :-)
Apps and Mexican Train Domino games to fill the afternoon
4:00pm the cooking madness started....dinner was at 7:30. The company was amazing it was great to celebrate with our close friends since we couldn't be with our families, with the exception to Troy.
Friday we Nikki, Ella, and I headed to the park while the guys watched some afternoon football. Then Mike and I came home for movie night to discover that we had clogged our drain and had water in our laundry room. We attempted to get it resolved but ended up having a plumber out today to really fix it.

Saturday we got a start on our Christmas shopping and are about half way done. We then grabbed lunch and came home to rest. Shenan, Ricky, and Colin came over and we battled it out in Mexican Train Dominos again. Mike and I also decided that we would rather not go to the concert we had tickets to and stayed in for "game night."
Sunday we got the house in order and got ready for the week. Mike will be in Indianapolis until Wednesday and Stella, Itzy, Tucker, and I will be holding down the fort.
*Stella is doing well. She is no
w 5 months
and 65 lbs. She has started to loose all her baby teeth and is getting all her nice white adult teeth. She continues to be thick and look much more like a lab than a great dane, but we will just see how she keeps growing. Mike, Stella, and I will be heading back to MN on the 19th for Christmas so you can all meet her then.

Slow Weekend
The calm before the storm...
Mike and I took it easy this weekend as we have a big week of Thanksgiving festivities coming up! We are again going to be hosting the festivities at our house, so this weekend was spent getting our house and ourselves ready. We still found time to head to the park, meet up with friends for lunch and a couple drinks, and get the house tidy and organized. Hope everyone has safe travels this week for Turkey Dinner!

Congrats Tim
Friday night Mike and I headed up to Sushi Hai to help our friend Tim celebrate his graduation from Denver Universities MBA program. Congrats Tim, it was great to share this memory with you! The cake was also really great :-)

Weekend Visitors
Last weekend Barrett and Anette were here from Norway. They were here for the week visiting friends and family, but Mike and I got a few days with them! Thursday night we had dinner at our place. Josh, Valecia, Minor, Shenan, Barrett and Anette all joined us. Minor and Stella had a great time trying to figure one another out. The best was Minor's coon hat, Stella didn't know what to think of him when he had it on. We stuffed our faces with food and then Mike and Shenan were off to their hockey game.
Friday we started the festivities early again. Both Mike and I had to work but Mike was able to meet up with Barrett and Anette for lunch, then we all headed to the mall to shop, and then it was off to get supplies for Josh's 30th birthday.
Valecia hosted Josh's birthday at Ogden St. South. It was a great night of karaoke singing and hanging out.
Saturday we all got up rather slowly and then Mike and I got our yard ready for winter. Hopefully we won't be here next year and we took all our plants and bulbs and packed them up. Keep your fingers crossed.
Sunday we continued the yard work and I finished up some more wedding stuff. Then we headed to the park with Stella. We again ran into her brother and she got to play with him for awhile. I wish I had my camera there with me. Stella is thick almost "lab like" and her brother is lanky like a "dane." We will see what happens as they both continue to grow.
Snow???
