Family Thanksgiving

We had a quite Thanksgiving as a family of 4 in Dallas this year.  The day before the kiddos and I did our best to make a mess of the kitchen and made pies.  It was organized chaos with the flour on dough and 4 little hands wanting to mess with everything and one another.

On Thursday, we met up with some friends at the park in the morning.  Then it was time to head home for lunch, getting the turkey in the oven and prepping the rest of dinner.  There was also lots of football and playing.  Collages1

We sat down to dinner and although it was just the 4 of us it was a wonderful evening.  We talked about what we were thankful for and Thomas continued to stress his sword was the most important.  After a little Facetime with our families back in Minnesota it was time for bed and then Mike and I enjoyed a “date night” (when both the kids are in bed early-like 6/7 early) and watched a movie of our own.
