4th of July

It was a busy weekend around the Laschen house!  We had Auntie Renee fly in to visit Thomas and us of course.  Pat also moved back this weekend with his black lab Maggie.  They are staying with us until he finds a place to live. So we had 4 adults, 1 baby, 2 dogs, 1 puppy, and 2 cats in our house!  Whew-I thought it would be much more chaotic, but it was a HUGE help having a second set of hands with Renee here :-)  She couldn’t snuggle Thomas enough!  She also got him to take a bottle :-)

We have a huge park just below our house that has our cities fireworks.  This year we also had some great natural fireworks before the actual fireworks…we got a significant storm about 6 p.m.  So our outside BBQ was moved inside to Mexican Train Dominoes and Things. 

At 10 we stood in the driveway and watched the fireworks.  Thomas woke up just as all the commotion was starting and actually liked the show.  His eyes we SOOOO big as he starred at the fireworks.  He lasted about 10 minutes before he had to eat!  So we finished watching the fireworks from our upstairs bedroom.  What a great location for the house :-)
