Seattle

SeattleIt is official, we are moving to Seattle!

Coca Cola has been going through a reorganization for several months.  After speculating that his division in the company would no longer exist, we received confirmation of that in the middle of November.  Then it was time to start interviewing for a different position.

After applying within the company, he decided that his heart was set on a position in Seattle.  This was the best move for him career wise, so we kept our fingers crossed and he went for it.

After acing his interview we were hopeful that the position would be his.  On Wednesday, December 23rd, he was offered the job.

Then the reality set in!  WE ARE MOVING!

Wow-we are finding the news to be bittersweet.  Colorado has been our home now for so long, it was where we met, were married, bought our first home, had our first dog and then child, and the memories here are endless.

We are so terribly sad to leave our friends and house behind, yet are very excited to start a new in the Seattle area.

We are now crossing things off our HUGE to do list.  Meeting with realtors, looking for houses, and trying to keep life as normal as possible for all of us.   Thankfully, Coca Cola has a great relocation package and they make the move as easy and seamless as possible.

We do not know yet if we will live in Seattle proper or move to the “East Side.”  Without either of us ever having been to Seattle the task of finding a house is a bit challenging.   There are a lot more things to think about now that schools and yards come into play!
