Knowing that we were possibly moving we decided that we must hit up the Summer Solstice Parade in Fremont. This parade is unique in that it allows willing bike riders to ride completely naked with body paint on. Seriously, there are not many places that would allow that. Anyway we headed over to this giant parade and party and found that we weren’t the only ones wanting to attend. We ended up parking a super long way away and by the time we got to the parade route and the mass of people, we had missed the “opening” or most of the nakedness. We did however see several bikers heading to the parade and caught a few heading in late. Seriously in the pictures above the greatest thing is looking at the people’s faces in the background. If your interested in more pictures…check them out here.
After the parade, Max and Amy came over and we had a little BBQ. I had whipped up a cold swamp for the kids to play in. It also provided us with enough to entertain the kids while the guys manned the grill and the ladies caught up. To make the swamp make and chill 5-10 things of green J-ello. Then I added some warm water to make it easier to play in/with along with some swamp creatures (bugs, frogs, snakes and lizards).
