We shifted Thomas' birthday celebration to Saturday the 6th. The morning started off with a Mommy and Thomas date to Home Depot to make a bird feeder with their kid craft first Saturday. We then headed to the grocery store and got drenched in an unusual Seattle downpour before heading home for lunch.
Thomas then played happily in fondant while I tried to create a Curious George cake for him. Mike kept saying "George is a monkey," however this George to me was a little creepy. I gave up as decided that if Thomas liked it it was good enough for who it was for, right?!
Mike then made some yummy green chili and we were joined by Max and Amy for some appetizers. After Thomas woke up from his nap we let him “open” his present, a brand new big guy bike, that was “just like Dad’s.”
After we ate his neighbor buddies came over for a little play time and to help him eat up his cake. He was pretty pumped that Dan and Gabe got to come over, he really looks up to these two as they are a few years old and really great to him. It was a fun impromptu way to celebrate our little guy!
